These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and ChannelOS ("ChannelOS", "we", "us") governing your access to and use of the ChannelOS websites, applications, players and APIs (together, the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
1. Acceptance of these terms
By creating an account, pairing a screen, or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you can form a binding contract, that you're at least the age of majority where you live, and that you'll comply with these Terms and all applicable laws. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you're authorized to bind that organization.
2. The service
ChannelOS is a digital-signage platform: you pair a TV or display, build a slideshow ("show") manually or with AI assistance, and publish it to one or more screens, optionally on a schedule via channels. We may add, change or remove features over time. We aim for high availability but the Service is provided on an "as available" basis.
3. Accounts & screens
- You're responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure.
- Pairing a screen links a display to your account. You're responsible for the displays you pair and the content they show.
- You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
- Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Display or distribute content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, harassing, hateful, or sexually explicit;
- Violate anyone's intellectual-property, privacy or publicity rights;
- Show content to the public that you don't have the rights to display;
- Probe, scrape, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure;
- Reverse engineer or interfere with the Service except to the extent that restriction is prohibited by law.
We may suspend or remove content or screens that we reasonably believe violate these Terms.
5. Your content
You retain ownership of the slides, media, text and other materials you upload or create ("Your Content"). You grant ChannelOS a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, transmit and display Your Content solely to operate and improve the Service — including rendering it on the screens you pair and packaging it into export files at your request. You're responsible for having the rights to Your Content and for what your screens display.
6. AI-generated content
ChannelOS can draft shows and imagery with AI. AI output may be inaccurate or unsuitable — review it before publishing. You're responsible for content you publish, whether you wrote it or generated it. As between you and ChannelOS, you own the shows you generate and edit, subject to the rights of any underlying media providers (see Section 8) and applicable law.
7. Plans & billing
- Your first screen is free. Paid plans are billed per screen, per month, as described on the pricing page.
- Fees are charged in advance and are non-refundable except where required by law.
- You authorize us and our payment processor to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
- You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- We may change pricing with reasonable notice; changes apply to the next billing period.
8. Third-party services & media
The Service integrates third-party providers — for example stock media (such as Pexels), AI model providers, and cloud infrastructure (Cloudflare). Media you pull from a stock provider is subject to that provider's license. Your use of third-party integrations is also subject to their terms, and we aren't responsible for third-party services.
9. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design and branding, is owned by ChannelOS or its licensors and protected by law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Service per these Terms. ChannelOS's source dependencies are 100% MIT / OFL licensed; any open-source components remain governed by their own licenses.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or other users. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; sections that by their nature should survive (e.g. content licenses you've granted to the extent needed for backups, IP, disclaimers, liability limits) survive.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that content will always display correctly on every device.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ChannelOS won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service won't exceed the greater of the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or USD $100.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "last updated" date and, where appropriate, give additional notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
