What is a Cajun food truck menu board?

A Cajun food truck menu board shows a truck's Cajun and Gulf Coast dishes with prices: po' boys, fried and seasoned baskets, boiled shrimp and sides. This portrait board runs four slides, including a Cajun shrimp basket, a blackened shrimp special and weekend hours until midnight.

This board runs on

Any screen with a modern browser. There is no media player box to buy and nothing to install: you open a link on the TV, pair it once, and change what it shows from your phone.

It is authored at 9:16, so stand the TV on its end and the board fills it.

Questions people actually ask

What should a Cajun food truck menu list?
The sandwiches and baskets people come for, each with its seasoning or sauce, plus sides and one special. This board names the style on each basket, such as Cajun seasoning or garlic parmesan, which is what a customer chooses between.
How do I show how spicy a dish is?
Use plain words beside the item, such as mild, spicy or very spicy, rather than a scale only regulars understand. If a seasoning is optional, say so. Keep it on the menu slide so it is read before the order, not after.
Can the truck show late-night hours on the board?
Yes, as a slide with each day's hours, as this board does: Sunday to Thursday 11am to 8pm, Friday and Saturday until midnight. On a paid plan you can schedule a late-night board to take over after 8pm on weekends.
How do I put the board on the truck's TV?
Open play.channelos.tv in the TV's browser, scan the code with your phone and publish the board to that screen. The truck needs a connection, usually a phone hotspot. Every price and line stays editable from your phone after that.
